Empty Mind

When I first started training Aikido my biggest obstacle was over thinking. In time, muscle memory took over and my mind could relax and allow the body to get into the flow of the technique without the effort of consciously focusing on the process (which foot goes where kind of process).

Not being preoccupied by any thoughts or emotions (Aikido related or not) is a gradual personal growth I appreciate. But I haven’t reached that point yet, and I have to be honest… I do like to procrastinate with the few obstructive thoughts I have left… :)
